Shipping & Returns

IT'S  WOOD!
Some products are made from wood.. Wood is an imperfect medium that sometimes has a mind of it's own.. As such, minor defects, such as chipping, blowouts, minor defects in finish, even slight warpage/wobble might happen to the product.. They are typically 'very' minor, and in some cases actually add to the character of the product..  Anything excessive, that obviously detracts from the overall quality of the product, causes the product to be pulled from regular inventory and added to the 'blems/closeouts' category... So the product you receive will be of a generally high quality, but small defects are nothing unusual and should be expected...  It's wood, and no two pieces are the same...

Also, understand that the images shown for each product are 'typical' they may or may not be the actual product you receive...  You will receive one 'like' it of the same design, wood type, size, and coloring (unless otherwise noted)...

Returns Policy
At this time we are a very small operation and for now have adopted an "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" policy.. However, if you are unsatisfied with the product you received, contact us and we will work with you to make you happy if at all possible (at our discretion)... 


Shipping
Currently, we are only shipping to the USA and Canada...  It can take as much as 14 days to ship, even if the product is in stock (it can also take less time depending on circumstances at the time)... If it is not in stock and we have to produce it, it can take longer depending on work load...  If you order a product that is not in stock, we will contact you with approximate time to completion/shipping of your order
.. If this is unsatisfactory, we can refund your money or try and make special arrangements to get your product to you sooner... If you have a special reason that a product needs to get to you sooner than would be typical (ie a gift for a birthday or holiday), let us know, and we will see what we can do... Of course, the more time you give us for this, the easier it is to meet your request...


Custom Orders
For obvious reasons, once you approve the design of a product, and we produce it, it is yours...  We can not cancel or refund money once the project has begun..  We are in contact with you throughout the process to make sure you are getting what you wanted in a time frame acceptable to you, and that we meet or exceed your expectations..  As a general rule, you will be asked to pay up front for the design, then once it is approved, you are given the option of stopping there and owing nothing more, or then paying for/ordering production of the actual product.. Sometimes, design work can take longer than anticipated, especially where changes are involved, and we will let you know as that condition arises before we charge you more than anticipated, and allow you to decide how to proceed from there... Because of the low rate we charge for design time, standard policy is that all custom designs, files, toolpaths, and techniques remain the intellectual property of Mountain Craftworks, but can be sold to the customer (this increases cost of design) on a case by case basis...
